From a young age I’ve always enjoyed planning beautiful and unique celebrations. While the holidays were special, my birthday was the most important day of any year! There is nothing I love more than being a host, obsessing over tablescapes, and seeing the result in a crowd of happy, well-fed loved ones.

After graduating from Queen’s University, I attended George Brown College for the Special Event Management program. During my studies, my passion for beautiful occasions grew and I became certified by the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. After interning with, and working for, some of the best in the industry, the entrepreneurial bug bit and JOY by Janice was born.

I enjoy a good spreadsheet, getting lost on Pinterest, and brainstorming unique ideas with my couples! When I’m not planning parties you can find me out and about in Toronto, trying new restaurants or walking my dog, Nacho.
