Kate & Alan

As soon as I met Kate I knew we were going to hit it off! As if she wasn’t stunning enough, she was also the kindest gal ever! Kate and Alan chose to wed at the stunning St. Michael’s Cathedral. Choosing to forego a large bridal party, they each had their respective siblings as Maid of Honour and Best Man. Kate wore a Rita Vinieris ballgown from Kleinfeld’s, while Alan donned a fitted Armani tux. The St. Michael’s Boys Choir provided the music for the intimate and heartfelt ceremony.

While guests made their way to the Shangri-La hotel for cocktails, Kate and Alan made a quick stop at Osgoode Hall for some bridal portraits. Their reception drew inspiration from the Shangri-La’s existing oriental influences, with cherry blossom trees accentuating the space. The tall centrepieces included orchids and roses, and drew the eyes upwards to the imported crystal chandeliers. As a surprise to her new husband, Kate had gospel group Urban Honesty perform for their entrance and first dance. Hearing them sing in collaboration to Sidecar’s trio was something their guests raved about all night! After a magnificent three course dinner, it was time for another surprise! The Wushu Project provided a lion dance performance as a nod to Alan’s Chinese heritage. After the incredible show, guests joined in on the fun on the dance floor.
